Fr. Bailley's Register 1771 L'Ardoise

In 1978 the Centre d'Etudes Acadienne at the Universite de Monton in New Brunswick published a French transcription of the Register of Fr. Bailly, a missionary priest who travelled eastern Canada ministering to the French and as well native Canadians. In response to many requests Edward L. Galvin a Certified Genealogist posted at his D'Escousse Family History Project web site, what he terms to be a "loose English transcription" of the D'Escousse, Cape Breton section of those records. Ed also was kind enough to offer to me a copy of his transcription of those records that covered Fr. Bailly's administrations at L'Ardoise, Cape Breton. I am therefore with Ed's permission posting these as an aid to other L'Ardoise family researchers. -Patrick Burke
